KEEPING A GOOD MENTAL HEALTH
There will be an emotional problem and psychological handicap when an individual is not able to function or use her cognitive and emotional capabilities or a complete state of good physical, mental and social well-being.
There are other people taking for granted the use of their mental health. They only recognize their incapability to think when something gone wrong. They did not realize how good mental health put a sense of fulfillment.
When something gone wrong in the mind, treatment is needed. But this medical care need enough time and resources to have maximum effectiveness. It is easy to assess physical health but taking measurements to the level of thought and perception are difficult to quantify and very subjective.
Mental disorders are health condition that is presented by alteration in mood, thinking of normal behavior in relation to stress and other mental and emotional disturbance. There was an impaired functioning of the mind.
Good mental health is distracted by stressful environment. Pressured work activities put strain to the mind and result to low level of perception and attention.
Any physical symptom related to the body especially if one is in pain due to mental illness. The greater the stress the greater the chances that his physical condition is at risk.
When we are in the period of mental stress we are vulnerable to disease and illness. These may be a feeling of isolation and lack of social support that can be exacerbated or prolonged.
There was an inter-relationship of the 3 components of mental, social and physical aspects for the general well-being of a person. When treatment is to be done, its effectiveness will depend on the responses of the 3 components together.
A good mental health can be represented by the ability to enjoy the passing of time. They are not worrying much about the future. Although they are looking ahead, but the present time is all they need for now.
Extreme social isolation is running away with the reality. The reality is to live full of satisfaction, enjoyment and happiness. Isolating the mind from this factors will become a weakness that need to be improve to be able to have a healthy life and healthy mind.
Making our expectation more flexible can improve our mental health. We have so many emotions, expressing our own responses. Avoiding the expression of this feeling may result to a mental health problem, our ability to form healthy relationship with other people by communicating and reaching them may improve our own self-esteem and community standing. We can have many friends around.
It is important for us to learn the balances of our lives. We should focus ourselves how we can keep this balance of the different aspects: mental, social, physical, spiritual, economic). This will be our challenges to keep that balance to maintain a good and healthy mental health.
THE EFFECTS OF DRUGS TO THE BODY
Is it harmful, beneficial? Does it dull the senses? Injure the mind? or a mild stimulants?
What happen to the physical body under the influence of marijuana? In smoking the drug, usually, there is an increase in pulse rate, a slight increase in blood pressure and vascular congestion, elevation of blood sugar, urinary frequency without diuresis, dryness of the mouth and throat as well as nausea, vomiting and occasional diarrhea. There was a sluggish response of the pupil to light, slight tremors and a partial deterioration of the body coordination.
What happen to the mind? The most common reaction was the development of a dreamy state of altered consciousness in which idea seem disconnected, uncontrollable and free flowing. Ideas came in disrupted sequences, things long forgotten were remembered and some very important cannot be recalled. Perception was disturbed. minutes seem to be an hour. If taken in higher dose, causes hallucination. There was a marked alteration of mood, feeling of extreme well-being, exaltation, excitement and inner joyousness or high in mood. Uncontrollable laughter and hilarity at minimal stimuli was common. With larger dose, panic states and fear of death had been observed, the body image may seem distorted.
It causes an individual to lose control of his mind. The adverse effect of marijuana depend to a large degree of the individual users. It causes psychotic reaction in person with unstable or poorly organized personalities. Why they take drugs? Because it appeals to them. They lack something in their lives and they hope drugs will supply it. But it was a wrong move.
Reasons why they turn to pot? Because of pressures from society, peer pressure, hypocrisy of the older generation, examples of pill-popping parents, curiosity, enjoyment, thrills and easy availability of the drug.
Is it worth to vent frustration and dislike for the establishment by blowing your mind on pot? Dulling your mind – your most priceless possession isn’t going to solve anything. You may get high and escape reality for a shorter time but after you calm down, the same old problem were staring at you, no matter who speaks out against the dangers of marijuana, no matter what facts are brought to light probably will continue to argue in favor of smoking pot simply to justify your actions. That’s the way the human mind works – unless you are willing to approach the problem objectively.
You can kick the drug if you’re willing.Without it, you will be happy – radiate vitality and purpose to have healthy mind as well as the body. Eradicate the cause that produces problem and undesirable effects. Do you really want a full, happy life, abundant well-being? Then stop completely. Your success will depend on your willingness to change. Expand your understanding.
It demands a big chance in your outlook, your values and your life. It will mean replacing old habit with the right one. It takes effort and hard work. But it can be done, and the reward is worth its price. Change your peer group and make new good friends. Don’t let peer pressure or social pressure become an invitation and an excuse for taking drugs. You can’t cope with the problems and issues of life if you are a slave to pot.
BUILD A POSITIVE SELF-CONCEPT

Having a positive outlook in life will mean that your perception is not limited to one focus. Do not aim for perfection because no one is perfect. Each one of us was not perfectly molded to do things the way it should be. Although we have talents and skills but we also have our own limitation, too.
If you want to do something in mind, then do it well. Doing it right makes you gain more confidence and other areas of importance. Seat goals for the completion of certain project. They must be specific, attainable and reliable in order to ensure a greater chance of success.
Don’t mind too much about failures. Doing lot of things is always a trial and error endeavor. It is important to make it useful. If it works well beyond your expectation, then praise yourself and utilize it to the fullest. It may regain your self-worth as a person. Be positive always. Turn every mistake into a learning experience. This will let you learn a lot.
If you want to help others especially those less fortunate, it gives you satisfaction knowing you were given the chance to help them. A satisfaction that lightens your heart. If someone criticize you, it helps you to do things right. Constructive criticism is a tool to let you know of your inefficiency. This will guide you to build a positive self concept you want. Then you will understand that having a positive mind enhances your self-worth and importance.
