As a child, it is your role to respect your parents. You are angry with your parents because you wanted to do things they don’t allow. You always late to go home. You were with your friends. You don’t even help your parents in the household chores because you don’t like it. What you like is to be with them most of the time. You can’t blame your parents. What they did is best for you. What you did is only best for yourself and nothing else even if is not good for you.

Why not talk to your parents openly? It is now time for you to tell them what’s in your mind. Put an end to your conflict with them, they know better than you do. Ask your parents what are the things they don’t like for you to do. Ask them their limit for you so that you will be guided to avoid confrontation with them.

Give them a chance to know you better. If your parents ask you what you were doing in school, answer them properly. Don’t lie to them. Be honest with yourself. Show them that you are a good child. Your parents are flexible at all times. They can grant privileges for you to enjoy. Don’t abuse their giving you limited freedom because this was the reason why they don’t like your ways in living with your own. Remember that you are not yet old enough to do for your own. You are still under their direction and protection. You do not have that liberty to go against them.

To have a close relationship with your parents, tell them whatever you did in your life the good things you did so that they can be proud of you. Let them exercise their rule as parents. And do also what is proper and the right things to do. Most of this misunderstanding is not coming from them but is coming directly from you. Remember you will become parents someday. You will understand how parents tried their best for the good of their child.

If time comes that you made a mistake in your decision that affected you, who will you to turn to help you? Parents are always have an open arms to welcome you even how stubborn you are because you are their son. Think twice. Ask yourself, am I right what I did? Am I old enough to ask independence to decide the best for myself?

You still need direction from them. Direction that will change your way of life to be better. Understand them, they will understand you.

Many parents wondered what is the best discipline they can do to a child who showed feeling of resistance against them. Most parents did not understand their role in disciplining their child. They pay more attention if their child misbehave. That was the reason why a child misbehave more because he wanted to be recognize to the feeling and attention he crave.

There are simple steps to be done that will help your child of his feeling of resistance:

Reward him with praise if they done something good. Acknowledge his good behavior. Hug him to show your concern to his welfare. Smile with him to ease the sign of misbehavior. Talk to him more often so that you will know his problem. It must consist direction. Don’t alienate yourself to him, it makes the matter worse. Telling stories is a good way to build a closer relationship. A child likes his parents to tell him stories most interesting. It encourages him to tell about himself.

Doing activities with him brings a good result. Play with him, a fun he likes best. Build trust and confidence. Don’t promise something that you cannot keep. Win his heart. Encourage him to follow a good example. Let him know that you love him. Make a way to discourage a behavior by telling him that a good behavior is always welcome by GOD. As GOD want their children to do more good than harm.

Listen to his feelings and try to find a way to overcome his resentment. Don’t always argue with him and push him hard. It will only makes things worse. Be flexible. Respect your child privacy as he need a place most comfortable to him.

This steps are only fraction to the many ways to solve the problem about child’s tantrum, anger, refusal and resentment to their parents. If this can be manage effectively, child will response positively and your effort will not be wasted.
