CORRECTIVE LENSES: AN AID TO A TROUBLED EYES

Our eyes are one of the most important part of the human body. It guide us to the the path we lead. Without it, there will be darkness and gloomy days. The eyes made  us what we become. Having a complete eyes is a fortune more than the money can buy.  You can live with less money in your pocket but you cannot enjoy life without a complete set of eyes to shine your day. It is incredible to imagine knowing you will lose your eyes because of an unavoidable circumstances, the reasons of losing it. There were others who lost their eyes due to less concern of its protection from the hazard of outside environment that caused it.

There come a time in our lives that we have to use an eyeglasses, sunglasses or contact lenses for the purpose of protecting or correcting the already defective eyes we had. Eyeglasses can restore the vision and see more clearly our own surrounding and the beauty around us.

The clearness of our vision depend on what kind of eyeglasses we have to wear. An optometrist has specialty to determine what’s lacking to restore our eyesight. It is a procedure that the eyes of the patient be check first before giving the proper protection. The degree of the lenses must conform to the degree of the defect of the eyes, otherwise, it may result to complication and a possibility to injure the eyes severely if not attended correctly.  Our eyes is a very sensitive organ. Any mishandling in giving the correct eyeglasses affects the clearness of the vision and the patient still has poor eyesight.

Red eye is a common symptom of a troubled eyes. It is the result when the blood vessels on the surface of the sclera was dilated. It may also due to enlargement when the white of the eyes turned into redness. Although it is not a serious condition but it become painful and uncomfortable. There are also cases that a bloodshot eyes is due to allergic reaction and only temporary.

Once the redness prolonged for a longer period of time even with the simple treatment to remove the redness then something goes wrong inside that need immediate medical attention to determine the cause and proper treatment will be  given.

Due to the pressure of coughing or straining, it also cause the eyes to become red. Eye solution is the best simple treatment to relieve or soothe redness due to exposure to dust and other foreign particles.

Redness is also present in any injurious circumstances. The injury penetrated to the inner portion of the eye. An ordinary cold episode or fever makes the eyes red. What are  some of this causes? Bacterial and viral infections are the culprit. There are inflammation, tolerable pain and discharges if infected. The bacterial infection in the eyelid lead to irritation, itching and redness. The thin membrane covering the sclera and the eyelid were affected.

Considering such infection is contagious, control measures should be done to prevent the spread. Viral infections make the eyes to become red as it cause ulcers in the cornea.

A simple measure of wearing sunglasses during the day free us from exposure to sun’s rays. It helps to prevent damage in the delicate lining of the eye.  Any irritation can be remedied by applying eye solution to control redness.

How can you further protect your eyes in other instances?

The light overhead should be enough for your reading or writing during the night. Don’t put the light in front of you so that the light will not hit directly to your eyes. There should be some kind of shade to protect it directly.

Don’t work at night with a dim light. The eyes are prone to itch and pain of not having enough light to shine the object you are working.

Use sunglasses or any shade glasses if you are working or playing outdoor. This vital organ is very sensitive to too much light.

Avoid using a flickering lights in your house decoration. Your eyes may not tolerate the on-and-off sequence of lighting.

Use an eyeglass that gives you comfort instead of giving you headache because of blurred vision. Correct grading may help to restore your vision and see things clearly.
